"Happiness... consists in giving,
and in serving others." Mingalabar,
You are now entering the village of SAI LU KYAW WORLD. It is located in the Northeastern part of Myanmar, on top of the Shan Mountains in the Zayan Village and is surrounded by tea.... Now I, SAI LU KYAW AM COMMMMIINNNGGG. Now, as I was saying, lets talk while we drink a cup of my organic, special Burmese tea. What would you like to talk about? Burmese history? Culture? Religion? Ethnic background? Food? Politics? Or even current events? Comment below...we shall meet again..... In 2008, the Myanmar delta area was hit by cyclone Nargis and killed hundreds of people and left millions of people homeless. At Yoma, we hosted a buffet to all our customers and community to raise money, from that event we made about $7000. We donate 100% of proceeds to charities in Myanmar and here in the U.S.
Among those donations, we could not get receipts from some charities. We would like to say thank you to all our customers, friends and media helping us to make our event successful. |
Sai Lu KyawIs the President of the Yoma Myanmar Tea Co. He owns a tea cafe in Boston, MA, and enjoys traveling with his family. He currently is working in Burma as well as the U.S and is spreading his love of Burmese food, culture and tea while he is at it. Archives
