Sai Kyaw, with the nuns at the monastery in Namsan, Myanmar which is the home to more than 50 orphans, and around 80 nun's in total. The monastery is located directly in the tea village and has very sparse donators, so we contributed 500,000 kyat ($500).

Donation to Nargis Cyclone victims in Myanmar in 2008

10/4/2009

In 2008, the Myanmar delta area was hit by cyclone Nargis and killed hundreds of people and left millions of people homeless. At Yoma, we hosted a buffet to all our customers and community to raise money, from that event we made about $7000. We donate 100% of proceeds to charities in Myanmar and here in the U.S.
Among those donations, we could not get receipts from some charities.
We would like to say thank you to all our customers, friends and media helping us to make our event successful.
